Most asked questions
How do you manage to travel the world? 🌍
We’ve built our lives around travel by choosing careers that allow flexibility and remote work. Melissa’s success on social media since 2023 and John’s experience in video production since 2015 have given us the freedom to explore new places while working on the go. We budget carefully, use travel rewards and credit card points, and stay open to last-minute deals. Travel is a priority for us because it fuels our creativity and strengthens our connection, even when things don’t go perfectly.
How did you build and market your blog? 🤔
We focused on creating authentic, engaging content that reflects our real experiences. Melissa’s background in social media helped us understand what resonates with audiences, so we prioritized high-quality visuals and storytelling. We learned about SEO to make our content easier to find, engaged with our audience regularly, and partnered with brands that aligned with our values. Consistency and staying true to ourselves have been key to growing our reach.
What restaurants do you recommend? 🍕
We always recommend looking for places where the locals eat rather than obvious tourist spots. A good sign of an authentic spot is a busy crowd of locals, especially during meal times. We also check reviews on Google and local food blogs rather than relying solely on tourist-focused platforms, since locals often leave the most honest feedback. Street food markets are usually a great bet for affordable and authentic meals. Don’t be afraid to ask locals for recommendations—they usually know the best hidden gems!
What Gear & Software do you use? 📷
We keep things pretty simple but high-quality. For cameras, we use a Sony A7 III for photos and a GoPro for action shots. We edit with Adobe Premiere Pro and Lightroom, and we use a DJI drone for aerial footage. For social media planning, we use Later and Canva. Investing in good gear and editing tools has made a huge difference in the quality of our content.
What low budget destinations do you recommend? 💸
Some of our favorite budget-friendly destinations are Thailand, Vietnam, and Mexico. Street food is cheap and delicious, accommodations are affordable, and transportation is easy to navigate. Eastern Europe (like Budapest and Kraków) is also surprisingly affordable and full of history and charm. Traveling on a budget doesn’t mean sacrificing experiences—it’s all about knowing where to look!
